He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Hendel; and his son Paul Hendel (Diane). He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Starba (Ted), Peter Hendel (Sharon Goudy), Heather Groat (Michael) and Rita Hendel; and his grandchildren, Emily, Jonathan (Jessica), Stephanie (Craig), Sarah (Ted), Samantha, Cassandra (Don), Allyson (Nick) and Amanda. He is also survived by many great grandchildren, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lombardo Funeral Home (Northtowns Chapel) (885 Niagara Falls Blvd, Buffalo, NY 14226). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lombardo Funeral Home (NorthTowns Chapel) (885 Niagara Fls Blvd, Amherst, NY 14226).
