He was predeceased by: his brothers, Denis and Miguel Donato; and his parents, Rafael Donato and Carmen Donato. He is survived by: his wife Joanne Donato; his daughters, Jennifer Kachelmeyer (Josiah) and Sarah Donato; and his sister Elaine Daniels (Wayne).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Oishei Children's Hospital.
