John Gionis Obituary

The memory of John Gionis of Tonawanda, New York, who passed away on December 30, 2025 at the age of 96, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his spouse Eftichia "Joy" Gionis (Eftichia); and his siblings, Dimitrios Gionis (Yanoula), Spiros Gionis (Despina), Vassilios Gionis (Vagelitza), Panayota Diamandakias (Taki), Tasos Gionis, Nikolaos Gionis (Katerina) and Potis "Peter" Gionis (Argiri).

He is survived by: his children, George (Kimberly), Dean Gionis (Lisa), Pappou (Christian) of Zoe, Jon, Liam and Maria; and his sibling Ilias Gionis (Maria). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
