He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Johnson; his child Terrill Johnson; and his grandson Shane. He is survived by: his children, Bruce (Mary), Tim, Tom and Lynn Johnson-Farley (Earl); his grandchildren, Kenneth, William (Macie), Aaron (Dora) and Shawn; and his great grandchildren, William and Clayton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Beechwood Homes or St. Bartholomew's Church.
