She was predeceased by: her husband Harold J. Witherow; her parents, Nunzio DiMaggio and Marcellyn DiMaggio; and her brother Paul DiMaggio (Diane). She is survived by: her son James Witherow (Alicia); her grandsons, Lucas and Henry; and her siblings, John DiMaggio, Dana DiMaggio (Christine), Anthony DiMaggio (Jane), Michael DiMaggio and Marcellyn Smith (Brian). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, three step children.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Margaret's name to Hospice Foundation.
