He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Trietley and Alice Trietley; his daughter Cheryl Russo; and his brother Daniel. He is survived by: his wife Nina Kellam Trietley; his children, Donna Yaeger (Paul), William H. and David E. Trietley; his grandchildren, Nicholas Russo (Sarah), Rhonda Humby (Matthew), Alyssa and Kimberly Yaeger; and his brother Gregory (Linda). He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
