Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Shawn leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He is survived by: his parents, Rebecca Zimpfer (late Gary) and James Shanahan (Lorraine); his fiancée Samantha Knight; his children, Finley and Claire; his stepsons, Noah Aela and Tobias; and his sisters, Amanda Wahlers (Michael) and Sharon Dobson. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, Inc. (242 Genesee St, Lockport, NY 14094). A prayer will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Shawn's family for his children would be appreciated.
