Barbara J. Shunk Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of Barbara J. Shunk in Troy, New York is shared. Barbara, born on September 5, 1935 in Concord, New Hampshire, passed away on October 23, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Barbara will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Barbara by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Barbara is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Barbara’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her husband Gerard A. Shunk. She is survived by: her children, Mary E. Shunk, Paul F. Shunk and Linda M. Fox (Joseph); her granddaughters, Sarah Fox (Matthew Wolverton) and Jennifer Mazzariello (John); and her friend Gloria Keiber. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the McDonald and Son Funeral Home (870 2nd Ave, Troy, NY 12182).
