He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond L. Wagar and Hazel E. Wagar (Peckham); and his siblings, Kenneth C. "Ken" Wagar, Floyd, John Wagar, Naomi Wagar, Helen Kreil, Bertha Kaschak, Alice Hetman, Lena Colty and Myra Wagar.
He is survived by: his close friend Margaret "Peggy" Boomhower of Valatie; his daughter Danielle Boomhower; his son-in-law John "Apples" Albanese; his siblings, Dorothy Maxwell of Brunswick and Alton Wagar of Troy; and his pets, Meow-Meow, Lil Man, Spice and Callie. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Howard B. Tate & Son Funeral Home (2237 NY-7, Troy, NY 12180). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
At the request of Calvin's family, contributions in his memory, if desired may be made to Community Hospice as a way to assist the family in saying a very warm thank you for their compassion and support shown while Calvin was under their excellent care.
