With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elmer G. Bonesteel (Troy, New York), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 4, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his son Elmer C. Bonesteel, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Ester Anderson; his children, David C. Anderson and Deborah Anderson (Tina); and his siblings, Anna Ruth Way Bonesteel, Winifred E. Wilkes and Donald C. Bonesteel. He is also survived by 8 nieces and nephews plus 6 grandnieces and grandnephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Frank P. McDonald & Son Funeral Home (870 2nd Ave, Troy, NY 12182).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center in Troy NY.
