He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Phillips and Marlene Phillips (Bulson); and his brothers, Kenny, Paul and Jerry Phillips.
He is survived by: his children, Ernest Phillips, Jr. (Kristen) and Amanda Whitman (Adam); his siblings, Janis Coonradt (Glenn), Mark Phillips (Ruth Fredericks), Kim Erickson (Ken), Kelly Hostettler (John) and Dana Cerrone (Dave); and his sisters-in-law, Shelia Phillips and Kim Phillips. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and close friends.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Faith Lutheran Church (50 Leversee Rd, Troy, NY 12182). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St.Jude's Children's Hospital.
