It is with sadness that the passing of Eugene E. Merrills (Troy, New York) is shared. Eugene passed away on September 8, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Adelbert Eugene and Gertrude Helen Merrills (Durkee); his siblings, Barbara, Cinda, Paulina Merrills, Donald Merrills and William Merrills; and his brother-in-law Ken Corbin.
He is survived by: his wife Lynn Groat Merrills; his children, Rhonda Haines and Eric Merrills (Kira); his granddaughters, Samantha and Molly Haines; his sister Linda Corbin; and his siblings-in-law, Lee Teal, Anne Anderson (Ron), Harold Groat (Mary), Richard Groat (Linda) and Robert Groat (Tracey). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
