She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Weaver and Anvilla Weaver (Foote). She is survived by: her children, Read Schusky and Scott Altes; her grandson Benjamin Owen Altes; her sister-in-law Nancy Reed (Raymond) of Fairfax; and her husband Wallace "Wally" Altes.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial gifts be given in Jane's name to the Empire State College Jane Altes Prize, Sage College, or to any of the service organizations mentioned above.
