She is survived by: her husband John "Jack" Hems; her son Steven Romano; and her sisters, Sue Higgs (Ron), Barbara Goodman, Lori Mitsakas and Carole Hoffmeister (Tom). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
