He was predeceased by: his parents, Ceaser Major and Martha Major; his wife Rosanne Miles Major; his former wife Janette NeSmith Major; and his siblings, Jacob, Derry, Caesar, Herbert, Handsome, Idamae, Ernestine and Genevieve.
He is survived by: his daughters, Saprena Major and Salena Hankins; his grandchildren, Devonne, Zyaire, Acharu and Dyanni; his great grandchildren, Devonne Jr., Ja'harie and Acharù-Janet; and his brother James Major (Mary). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the New Comer Cremations & Funerals (181 Troy-Schenectady Rd, Watervliet, NY 12189). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
