With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Elizabeth Doocey of Troy, New York, who passed away on June 1, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Doocey and Mary Smith Doocey; her sisters, Anne Marie Shake and Ellen Arnold; her brother-in-law Robert W. Shake, Sr.; and her nephews, Robert W. Shake, Jr. and James J. Shake.
She is survived by: her nieces, Mary C. Shake of Lexington, KY, Joanne M. Jones (Jeffrey) of Matthews, NC and Ellen Shake of Fort Mill, SC; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Malinda Shake, David Weiner, John Weiner, Eileen (Robert), Becker-Rendano, Kevin Shake (Clara), Amy Shake, Gabrielle Jones and Olivia Jones; her close friends, Patricia Flanagan and Cindy Ryan; and also, Sydney Leonard, Luna Shake, Bobby Leonard and Stella Shake.
