He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Quackenbush and June Quackenbush (Driscoll); his wife Beverly A. Quackenbush of John's Bike Shop; his sister Clara; and his siblings-in-law, Charles Baker, Karen Spickler, Joseph Spickler, Emma Spickler, Agnes Wilsey, David Wilsey and Carmen Spickler.
He is survived by: his children, John Quackenbush, Joe Quackenbush (Pam Matherne) of Utah, Betsey Ocker (Scott Holland) of Waterford, James Quackenbush of Troy and Beverly Sauer (Rick) of Speigletown; his grandchildren, James Ocker III, Mackenzie Ocker, Haley Sauer (Dominick Rayno), Rachel Sauer (Todd Conklin), Cameron Quackenbush, Benjamin Quackenbush and Matthew Quackenbush; his great grandchild Averie Pickering; his niece Bonnie Baker; and his nephew Chuck Baker (Judy).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McDonald & Son Funeral Home (870 2nd Ave, Troy, NY 12182). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Augustine's Church (25 115th St, Troy, NY 12182). A burial will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at the St. John's Cemetery.
