She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael and Zahiya; and her spouse Wahib Barbera. She is survived by: her children, Sabah Tlaiji (Nassib), Maurice Barbera (Yvonne), Odette Cooper, Maria Rezek (Nazir), Abe Barbera (Jannette), Pierre Barbera (Marie) and Jeanie Stapleton (Scott). She is also survived by her 7 children 19 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, along with many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made in Lamia's memory to St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church in Albany NY.
