Briggs of Troy, New York, born in Newburgh, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 15, 2025 at the age of 94. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernhardt Selke and Martha McWilliams Selke; and her husband David R. Briggs. She is survived by: her children, Debra Freihofer (Wayne) of Stuart, FL, Susan Belanger (Jeffrey) of Hernando, FL and Charles Briggs (Wendy) of Castleton, NY; and her grandchildren, Gretchen Freihofer (Michael Milofsky), Matthew Belanger (Rachel), Allison Macchione (Peter), Emily Bodfish (Will), David Briggs (Monica), Elizabeth Briggs, Brent (Kate) and Keith Freihofer (Kathleen). She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
Peg's ability to remain independent, and see so many amazing life events including family and friends, was due to two cornea transplants 30 years ago, In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Margaret B.
