He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Warren Coons and Mary Frances Gross Coons; his son Mark Coons; and his siblings, Thomas Coons, Joyce Bendon, Nancy Taylor, John Coons and Sandra Nolan.
He is survived by: his daughter Jody Weidel (Karl); his granddaughters, Nicole Weidel and Ashley Weidel; and his brother Earl Coons (Kathy). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
