She was predeceased by : her parents, Alfred Ranglin and Mary Ranglin; her husband James H. Douglas II; and her children, James III (Garfield), Patricia, Neville and Karen.

She is survived by : her children, Shirley, Lee, Maxine, Brian, Carol and Daren; her stepson Glaister; and her siblings, Roy, Vivette, Jacquline and Dian. She is also survived by two sisters and a brother.
