With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Richard W. Post of Troy, New York, born in Catskill, New York, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Richard left this world on October 20, 2025 at the age of 84, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Post and Virginia Post (Bartlett); his wife Ethel; and his brother Harold Post. He is survived by: his children, Deborah Bevevino (Thomas), Kevin Post (Kelly) and Rebecca Liga (Edward); his grandchildren, Nicholas Bevevino (Miranda), Laura Dugan (Ian), Joshua Bevevino (Ashley), Christopher Bevevino (Emma), Anthony Liga and Nathan Liga (Emi); his great grandchildren, Rosie, Jude and Scout; and his siblings, David Post (Janice) and Sharon Smith (Donald). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Hoosic Valley Community Church (2024 NY-40, Schaghticoke, NY 12154). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery (200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY 12871).
