He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Ratigan and Helen Ratigan (Galligan). He is survived by: his wife Carol Frances Ratigan (Kyea); his son Richard, Jr. (Lisa); his grandson Sean; and his sisters, Helen Reinhard and Mary Torncello. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
