She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Robert L. Pentland and Delores M. Nemeyer; her husband Donald A. Riston Sr.; her sons, Donald A. Riston Jr. (Nicole) and Robert E Riston; her grandchildren, Gavin Lockwood Riston (Sydney Carey), Benjamin Riston, Lily Plumadore, Ellie Marie Riston and Daniel Riston; and her siblings, Christine Parker, Bobby Ray Pentland and Lorena Young.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Susan's name to the Disabled American Veterans, Leo O'Brien Building, Albany, NY 12207.
