She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Smith and Mildred Smith (Hosmer); and her husband Harry Matala. She is survived by: her children, Virginia (Harry Nicholas), Harry Dennis Matala (Tammy Warrington), Matthew (Rebecca Matala), Jonathan (Kimberly Matala), Todd (Stacey Matala) and Stephanie (Stewart Ellis). She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Howard B. Tate and Son Funeral Home Inc. (2237 NY-7, Troy, NY 12180). A burial was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at the Elmwood Hill Cemetery (51 Belle Ave, Troy, NY 12180).
