He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Gorton and Ruby Gorton (Morgan); his brothers, Melvin (Lois) and Walter Gorton Jr.; and his daughter-in-law Sue Gorton.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Gorton; his sons, Ken Gorton, Kevin Gorton (Tammy), Brian Gorton and David Gorton (Dorothy); his grandchildren, Cheyenne Woodard (Justin), Shane Owens, Chris Mcdowell, Ashley Gorton (Jack Beck), Mackenzie, Haleigh, Justin, Hunter Gorton, Vanessa Northrup-Johnson, Amber Gorton, Matthew Skeval (Kelly) and Michael Gorton; and his great grandchildren, Kaisley and Lane.
