He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur and Mary; and his siblings, George Potter, Phil Potter, Thelma Mazzoli, Bob Finch and Raymond Finch.

He is survived by: his wife Connie (Nellenback); his children, Annette Bizub (Mark), Brenda Biggs (Brad), Tim Potter (Mary), Rick Potter, Amanda Grover (Mel) and Liz VanMarter (Dennis); his grandchildren, Nathaniel, Jessica, Bradley, Travis, Rachel, Brady, Camryn, Rory and Tyler; his great grandchild Ryder; and his sibling's children, Jimmy, Donald, David and Mary.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be sent to St. Leo's Church Food Pantry or Francis House in Syracuse, NY.
