Gail M. Carmichael Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 1, 2025, at the age of 74, Gail M. Carmichael (Tupper Lake, New York) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Gail departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Gail. Though Gail may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Darwin "Tony" Gensel and Lucienne "Lou" Gensel. She is survived by: her son Geoffrey Carmichael (Dawn); and her siblings, Cindy LaBarge (Richard), Darwin Gensel (Sherry) of Syracuse, NY, Daniel Gensel (Robert C. Whitehouse) and Robert Gensel (Luis Galano) of Queens, NY.. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Frary Funeral Home (24 Cliff Ave, Tupper Lake, NY 12986). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the St. Alphonsus Church (48 Wawbeek Ave, Tupper Lake, NY 12986). A burial was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Gale Cemetery (10140 State Rte 3, Childwold, NY 12922).
Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider Toys for Tots in care of the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office at 102 County View Drive, Lake Pleasant, NY 12108 or the Tupper Lake Kiwanis Club's Christmas programs.
