Thelma C. Smith Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thelma C. Smith (Tuxedo Park, New York), who passed away on September 23, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Thelma departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Thelma may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Thelma leaves behind.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Richards and Anna Richards (Joel); and her husband John T. Smith, Sr.. She is survived by: her sons, John T. Smith, Jr. (Jennifer) of Tuxedo Park, NY, Gregory Smith (Michelle) of Nanuet, NY, Scott Smith of New Windsor, NY and Stephen Smith (Robin) of Tuxedo, NY. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (5 Tobin Way, Tuxedo Park, NY 10987).
