She was predeceased by: her parents, William E. Schabot and MaryLou Schabot (Riehl); her sisters, Kelly Schabot and Leslie "Twig" LaTorre; and her siblings-in-law, Michael Sawick and Amy Schabot.
She is survived by: her husband Daniel Nelson; her sons, Eric (Jacqueline) and Jeffrey Nelson (Anna); her granddaughter StellaLynn; her siblings, Lynn Formica (Phil), Patricia "Patty" Sawick and William "Bill" Schabot; and her brother-in-law Bruce LaTorre. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, and cousins.
