She was predeceased by : her parents, Willard Sawyers and Cecelia Sawyers; and her siblings, Hortense Sawyers and Errol Sawyers. She is survived by : her husband Delphin Sanchez (Sonny); her child Shaniece (Moses); her siblings, Marva (Nile), Lorna, Marsha, Phillip and Owen (Karen); and her granddaughter Lilyanna. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, grandniece, grandnephew, in-laws, cousins, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
