She was predeceased by: her parents, Patrick Costello and Beverly Costello; her sister Denise Costello; her half-brother Chuck Catanzaro; and her sister-in-law Patricia Brych.
She is survived by: her husband Jacob J. Papierz; her sons, Michael Papierz of New York Mills and James J. Papierz; her brother Patrick (Debbie Costello); and her sisters-in-law, Carol Smith and Suzanne Sack. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Heintz Funeral Service Inc. - Whitesboro Street (1517 Whitesboro St, Utica, NY 13502). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Church (66 Oxford Rd, New Hartford, NY 13413). A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at the Holy Trinity Cemetery (1500 Champlin Ave, Utica, NY 13502).
