She was predeceased by: her husband Francis Synakowski; her parents, Patrick Tarkowski and Julia Tarkowski; her siblings, Mary Jasinski (John), Bernard Tarkowski (Sophie), Bertha Kuklinski (Eugene), Felix Tarkowski (Nora), Helen Tarkowski, Clara Syzmanski (Alex), Irene Czerniawski (John), Joseph Tarkowski (Mae), Eleanor King (Floyd) and Geraldine Bokowski (Paul); her parents-in-law, Walter and Joanna Synakowski; and her brothers-in-law, Edward Synakowski (Edna) and Richard Synakowski (Lilian).
She is survived by: her friend Dolores Noma.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Dorothy's name may be made to Holy Trinity Church, Sisters of Nazareth, Wounded Warriors, or a local disabled veterans' organization of choice.
