He was predeceased by: his parents, DeForest Layton and Mary Layton (Demers); his children, Jamie Sue Layton and Sean DeForest Layton; his siblings, Robert Layton and Patty Rabice (Nick); and his sister-in-law Patty Layton.
He is survived by: his wife Marcia L. Pope; his son Brian Layton (Jacklyn); his grandchildren, Reeghan and Ryan Layton; his brother Thomas Layton (Patti); his sister-in-law Helen Layton; and his caregiver Wynn Hospital. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Dimbleby Funeral Homes - Whitesboro (40 Main St, Whitesboro, NY 13492). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
