The passing of Elizabeth (Betty) Eisengrein Meehan (Utica, New York) leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on July 21, 2025 at the age of 90. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Adam and Elizabeth Kilian Eisengrein; her husband John J. Meehan; her brother Lt. Edward H; her sister-in-law Vivian Eisengrein Landis; her sister Elaine C. O'Brien; her brother-in-law John O'Brien; her godson Kevin P. O'Brien; and her siblings-in-law, Marion and Raymond Belden.
She is survived by: her children, Daniel (Pamela Meehan) of New Hartford, Kathleen (Mark Angelucci) of New Hartford and Susan (Alex Smith) of DeWitt; her grandchildren, Meghan Meehan (Drew Winderl), John "Jack" Meehan Angelucci, Elizabeth "Lizzy" Smith and Anna Smith; her great grandchild Maeve Meehan Winderl; her siblings-in-law, Agnes and John Grygiel; and her niece Mary Belden. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Myslinski, Kowalczyk & Nunn Funeral Directors (470 French Rd, Utica, NY 13502). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Church (66 Oxford Rd, New Hartford, NY 13413).
In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Betty's name may be made to the John '61 and Betty Eisengrein Meehan Scholarship Fund at Utica University or to Hope House (http://www.hopehouseutica.org).
