Gerald Padilla Obituary

Gerald Martin Padilla, age 37, passed away unexpectedly on June 15, 2025 in Utica, N.Y. Jerry, as he was affectionately known by loved ones, was born in September of 1987, in Brooklyn, N.Y. - the second born son of James Martin Padilla & Kathleen Padilla.

He is survived by his five children Cynthia, Crystal, Ciara, Gerald Jr, and Reid, whom he loved dearly; his loving parents, James and Kathleen Padilla; his four siblings, James (Megan) Padilla, Jorge Padilla, Christina (Patrick) Fitzwater, and Jennifer Padilla; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, with whom his memory lives on.

Jerry was a kind soul who loved his family deeply - he had a warm heart. He adored his family and always had an infectious laugh with a beautiful smile. Jerry loved a good workout and some loud music to go along with, watching action and horror movies, as well as playing video games with his siblings, particularly "Tekken.". He was an avid jokester with a light-hearted sense of humor. Jerry was ultimately (and unapologetically) a kid at heart.

His family will forever miss the laughter, humor, and light that he brought into their lives. He will be forever loved and dearly missed, for his absence has left a hole that can never be filled. In recognition of Jerry's respect of privacy, a private memorial service will be held for immediate family. Rest forever in peace, Jerry - we love you and we got you!
