She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Karaze and Mary Karaze (Moshaty); her daughters, Janice Piacente and Mary Schecter; and her siblings, Agnes Rasi and Albert Karaz.
She is survived by: her son James Abounader (Lucretia); her sons-in-law, Frank Piacente and Larry Schecter; her grandchildren, Danielle Fink (Jeff), Noah Racich (Kelli) and Brooke Smith (Matthew); her great grandchildren, Carter, Lyla, Anniston Mary Racich and Ivy Joy Fink; her nieces and nephews, Glory Rasi, Anne Marie Lewis, Claire Karaz Beswick and Carol Abounader Wilkinson; her goddaughter Trish Micaroni; and her friends, Mary McCorduck, Sr., Lois Mary Paciello and Aurelia "Re" Grecco.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Louis Gonzaga Maronite Catholic Church (520 Rutger St, Utica, NY 13501).
