He was predeceased by: his parents, James Sexton (Teck) and Bernadine Maher (DuRoss); and his wife Sandra Checchia. He is survived by: his children, Stephen Maher (Christine) of Slingerlands, NY, Jeffrey Blake Maher (Eric) of Tarrytown, NY, Elizabeth Maher-Funk (Thomas) of Bristol, VT and Joshua Maher (Alicia) of South Strafford, VT; his granddaughters, Hannah, Molly and Louisa Funk; his children, James, Nathan, Milo and Orson Maher; his siblings, Janet Durr (John), William (Dawn Maher), Suzanne Hinge (Bill), Linda (Thomas Kiely) and Karen Kresge (Kerry); and his sisters-in-law, Judith Goerlitz (Bob), Carol Crawford and Stephanie Checchia (Mark). He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
