John DeIorio of Utica, New York, born on October 11, 1934, passed away on September 13, 2026. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John DeIorio and Frances Graziano DeIorio; his sister Yolanda "Lolly" Font (John); and his in-laws, Beverly Alteri (Fred), John Bertone, Dr. John Romano and Dr Marsette Vona.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Vona of John's Church; his children, Denice DeIorio Coyne (Shawn) of Minneapolis, Darlene DeIorio Benson (Mark Turnpenny), Maria DeIorio (Jay Nelson) and John M. DeIorio of Los Angeles; his grandchildren, Molly Coyne Hatch (Brian), Maria Coyne Churchill (Drew), Gianni Notaro (Caitlyn) and Brian Benson (Laura); his great grandchildren, Dante Notaro and Levi Benson; his siblings, Benjamin "Ben" DeIorio (Don Daniels) of Florida and Mary Etta Bertone of Arizona; and his sisters-in-law, Beatrice Romano, Pamela Vona and Elena Santos (Vona). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Scala, Roefaro & Karboski Funeral Home (1122 Culver Ave, Utica, NY 13501). A Mass will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Historic Old St. John's Church (240 Bleecker St, Utica, NY 13501).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriners Children's (https://donate.shrinerschildrens.org), where John was treated as a young boy.
