With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Joseph R. DeCola Sr. (Utica, New York), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Joseph left this world on July 12, 2025 at the age of 99, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family. Though Joseph may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Joseph touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, August DeCola and Maria DeCola (Tomassi); and his parents-in-law, Frank and Elisabetta A. Nalli. He is survived by: his wife Gloria; his children, Maria, Bob Gregorka, Jackie DeCola, Mike Giancotti, Joseph R. Jr. and Terry DeCola; and his grandson Joseph Luke (Jessica DeCola). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Anthony & St. Agnes Church (422 Tilden Ave, Utica, NY 13501).
