She was predeceased by: her parents, C. B. Shannon and Georgia Rhodes (Smith). She is survived by: her brother Carl Oliver; her children, Bobby Hamilton, Johnlee Hamilton, Micheal Hamilton, Regina Hamilton and Arangerene Gregg-Curtis; her grandchildren, Whitney Hamilton-Ragin, Christopher Hamilton, Rayshonda Mungo-Gray, Jahbo Simpson, Laruth "YaYa" Hamilton-McCray and Zahare Wright; and her siblings, Pricilla Bitting, Henry Oliver, Rosemary Bennett, Carlene Jones Colebrook, Dorothy Felton, Georgia Mae Smith, Gloria Stenson and David Shannon. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
