Robert J. Hennessy Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of Robert J. Hennessy (Utica, New York). Robert, born on July 15, 1936, passed away on July 31, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Hennessy and Dorothy Hennessy (Ottaway); his sister Helen Hennessy; his in-laws, Robert Frankland (Joan) and John Kane; his nephew Brad; his niece Laura Frankland; and his wife Nancy Kane.

He is survived by: his daughters, Ellen Scranton (Kevin) and Marianne Smith (Marshal); his grandchildren, Noah, Emma Scranton and Abigail Smith; his sisters, Jean Nicholson (Robert) and Nancy Greene (David); and his in-laws, Bruce Daniels (Irene), Eugene Nuding (Patricia) and Marianthe Kane. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
