Virginia C. Potrzeba Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Virginia C. Potrzeba of Utica, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 3, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Ptak and Anelia Ptak (Kuzma); her husband Edward Potrzeba; her daughter Michele; her son-in-law Ted Kulesa; her son Mark; her sister Genevieve; her brother-in-law Charles Mierzwa; her brothers, Eugene Ptak and Edward Ptak (Beverly); and her in-laws, Vincent and Mildred Potrzeba.
She is survived by: her sons, Michael (Deborah) and Edward Jr. Potrzeba (Heather); her grandchildren, Dr. Amy Macrina (Dan), Dr. Joshua Potrzeba (Megan), Amber Soriano (Joe Wyborski), Edward Potrzeba III and Charles Potrzeba; her great grandchildren, Parker Macrina and Reagan Potrzeba; and her sister-in-law Dolores Ptak. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church (1206 Lincoln Ave, Utica, NY 13502). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
