He was predeceased by: his parents, Hans Franz and Magda Kuhn Franz; and his daughter Ursula. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Mahan Graves; his daughter Gabriele E. Fassbender-Runge; his children-in-law, Dieter Runge (William) of Germany, Linda Graves (Patrick) and Andrea Graves; his grandchildren, Susanne, Jennifer, Stephanie, Jasmin, Kaitlyn, Lyndsay, Melissa, Allison, Shaun and Ryan; his brother Hans D. Franz; and his nephew Jeffrey Franz.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph & St. Patrick Church (702 Columbia St, Utica, NY 13502).
