Winifred Mitchell Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of Winifred Mitchell (Utica, New York) is shared. Winifred, born on June 1, 1932, passed away on October 28, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Abbott and Fannie Abbott (Harp); her husband Louis Joseph Mitchell Sr.; her daughter Patricia Mitchell; her brother-in-law Raymond Lawrence; and her siblings, Fred Abbott, Anthony Abbott, Rosemary (Gordon Brown) and Ann Monroe.
She is survived by: her children, Louis J. Mitchell Jr., Anthony J. Sr., Brenda Mitchell, Michael J. Sr. and Elizabeth Mitchell; her grandchildren, Hannah, Morgan, Anthony Jr., Nicholas, Michael Jr. (Kristen) and Ryan; her sister Judy Lawrence; her in-laws, Lennie, Jan and Gordon; her nieces and nephews, George, Jackie Mitchell, Kameli and Kevin McIntyre; and her godson Frank Brown (Mary Lou). She is also survived by many cousins and close friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Louis Gonzaga Church (520 Rutger St, Utica, NY 13501).
