We bid farewell to Robert J. Schmidt of Vernon Center, New York, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 25, 2025 at the age of 72. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmond Schmidt and Evelyn Magee Schmidt; and his brother David. He is survived by: his wife Linda (Ingalls); his children, Rebecca Castka (Ted) of Long Island, NY, Forrest Schmidt (Gabi) of Chile, Leif Schmidt of Iowa, Angela Leary (Mike) of Florida, Robert Leuenberger (Darcie) of Oriskany Falls and Debra George (Nate) of Sauquoit; his brother Daniel Schmidt; and his close friend Rip. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, six great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the New Beginnings Church (227 Genesee St, Perryville, NY 13032).
