He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold "Mickey" Thurston and Isabelle Thurston (Timian); his sister Joanne Baye; his daughter Danielle "Diedi" Thurston; and his great grandchildren, Evanne Henderson, Carl (Julia), Lackey (Leo), Clayton and Gavin Lackey.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara (Cote) of Clinton; his daughter Nicole Thurston of Vernon Center, NY; his nieces and nephews, Michael, Michelle, Thomas, Paul, Colleen, Alison, Gaeton, Chris and Erin; Gaeton "Tom", Georgine Dragone of Jacksonville, FL, John and Lynne Cote of Guilford, CT.. He is also survived by children and enjoying their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vernon Center Volunteer Fire Department in Tom's memory.
