He was predeceased by: his wife Kathleen Gardner; his parents, William Gardner and Eleanor Gardner; and his brothers, Earl and Richard Gardner.
He is survived by: his sons, Jamie Gardner and Jedd Gardner; his stepson Walker Starner; his grandchildren, Zane and Ellie Gardner; his close friend Kate Packer; and his nieces and nephews, Kym, Greg, Rich, Christine and Carolynn.
