He was predeceased by: his mother Mary P. Fowler; his stepfather Duke Fowler; his in-laws, Floyd and Judy Morgan; his sister-in-law Judy Duffy; and his great grandchild Kayden Bennett.
He is survived by: his wife Sandie; his children, Chad Best (Andrea), Steve Best (Laura) and Penny Bennett (Cliff); his sister Laurie Gabbard (Don); and his siblings-in-law, Becky Bolton (Tom) and Tim Morgan (Noreen). He is also survived by eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
