We announce the death of Karen Thresh Wolfson of Walden, New York, born in Montréal, Québec, who passed away on October 17, 2026, at the age of 71. Karen will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Karen will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Karen will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Karen’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Audrey Thresh and William Thresh; and her husband Steven J. Wolfson. She is survived by: her daughter Gineane Haberlin; her grandchildren, Cam and Shayne; and her siblings, Janet Garofalow (Ritch), Debbie Hampton (Warren) and Blair Thresh. She is also survived by the many nephews, nieces and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Oxford Hills Crematory, Inc. (139 Stage Rd, Monroe, NY 10950).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the United Methodist Church in Walden (https://www.waldenumc.org), Pets Alive or the American Liver Foundation.
